Abstract

A calculation method of the number of shunting single trips for meeting the task volumes of shunting operations at a passenger station is developed. The computation of the single trips numbers is based on the train schedule and technological processes of the station and the car depot. The types of shunting single trips are analyzed, the required numbers of shunting single trips are calculated for specific shunting areas. The results of empirical trip are represented, which are in line with the results of computation.
