Abstract

The article considers issues of raising the rolling stock operational safety with the use of main reservoirs by jalousie separators. A mathematical model has been provided of a gas flow in a round pipe as it applies to the pneumatic systems of locomotives. Practical realization of the theoretical research for locomotives is presented in a design of a jalousie separator for the locomotive series VL80k.
