Abstract

The history of development of railway transport workers’ cooperative societies in the first decades of the Soviet state construction is illustrated in this article. Pre-revolutionary independent railway transport workers cooperative societies grew into powerful ones and included almost the whole railway network of the former Russian Empire. They were predecessors of the railway transport movement of the workers’ cooperative societies in the desribed period.
