Abstract

The article enlists fundamentals of the proposed method of estimating the volume and structure of current

maintenance of reinforced concrete spans of bridges, according to their current state, developed with the use of methods of reliability theory and mathematical statistics. The method stipulates that the planning of

obligatory repairs and changes of the span structures on the bridge is carried out on the basis of an analysis of the state of the facility in a certain period of time and its behavior during all of the service life, by way of minimization of the costs of the repair works or changes. Expediency of further operation of the facility is determined, provided that the costs of its repair do not exceed the incomes from its operation.
