Abstract

The paper examines a method of classifying metallic and reinforced concrete span structures of the operated railway bridges into carrying capacity and of the railway rolling stock into degree of the impact on bridges. On the basis of comparison of the classes of span structures and rolling stock, the possibility and conditions of running modern rolling stock on the bridges are determined.
