Abstract

The article represents the research results of probabilistic evaluation of the effect of lubricators upon the wearout of wheelsets. The authors show dependence of the intensity of flange tear-out on the running distance. Received regression curves have been provided, allowing to forecast intensity of the flange tear-out. The studies have shown that flange lubrication system allows to enlarge running resource of the whealset by no less than 31% before facing is required.
