Abstract

The article considers the environmental consequences of transport accidents with oil products, which take place in Ukraine. A considerable influence of soil composition, the degree of its compaction, and also the soil examination procedure onto migration of oil products has been demonstrated. Some hypotheses on different mechanisms of oil products migration through soils have been suggested. The obtained data allow formulating recommendations regarding measures to eliminate the consequences of such accidents.
