Abstract

On the basis of literature data analysis, an updated mathematical model has been developed, which describes electromagnetic processes in rail circuits during movements of electrified rolling stock. The model takes into account inductive influence of current in the contact wire and the current flowing in the ground. Calculations have been provided of reverse tractive current in the rails and the potential of rails on the section between the locomotive and tractive substation. The results of the analysis have been presented.
