Abstract

The authors have performed the probability forecasting of parametrical reliability of wheelset axlebox frames of electric locomotives according to criterion of wear. The law of distribution of the frame diameter value D at an arbitrary value of the locomotive run l has been found. A probability forecast of axlebox frames failure in different types of electric locomotives has been performed for the run value of up to TR 3, that is Lk-L0. The calculations have been made for new frames, restored by surfacing and iron plating.
