Abstract

The structure and properties of Fe-B-C alloys containing 1.8 weight per cent В, 3.0 weight per cent С, including those that were additionally alloyed with 0…1 weight per cent Р, 0…0.5 weight per cent Mo, were investigated in this work. The alloys were studied to work out the binder of composites strengthened with tungsten carbides. The ways to reduce the intensity of contact interaction processes taking place at the interfaces of composites during infiltration were determined.
